This is an introductory course for students in the first year of education to understand the reality of Korea's education. This course examines the educational system and recent trends in the world from a comparative pedagogical perspective. Students understand the overall flow of world education and recognize that educations from around the world are developing by influencing each other. Based on this, the basic knowledge to discuss the current state of education system, its problems, and ways to improve is built.

The "philosophy of education" aims at revealing the logical assumptions and implications of the concepts that guide or understand educational phenomena. Students will have a concept of education by learning the philosophy of education, and they will form a systematic and in-depth view that distinguishes and correlates various educational phenomena such as learning, teaching, disciplining, and moral education. This course will outline the historical achievements and discuss the key questions of the philosophy of education.

Educational technology explores ways to deliver messages effectively. For this, students study characteristics of the mediams and devices and plan how to use them in teaching by way of direct instruction and cooperative learning. By the end of course, students will be able to select media to reach the goals effectively and evaluate its usage.

This course designed to investigate ways to use educational motivation that drives education and learning behavior. The educational motivation is divided into students’ learning motivation, parents' motivation to educate their child, and teachers' motivation to teach. To maximize the effectiveness of the class, the pre-service teachers understand the motivations of themselves and the motivations of their consumers (students and parents) as well, and find ways to make efficient use of them.

For this, students learn the basic concepts of educational statistics and practice the analysis of actual data with related statistical programs. For this, students study concepts and principles of teaching and learning concerning objectives, learners, educational environment, teaching methods by way of direct instruction, cooperative learning, and backward instruction. This course aims to cultivate counseling competencies as paraprofessionals in secondary schools by enhancing the understandings of basic knowledge and skills in the theory and practice of school counseling. In the course, students will learn history of school counseling and guidance, theoretical background of counseling, and practical counseling methods across the students problem areas including academic, career, interpersonal concerns and mental health. This course enables students to develop their personal qualities and professional guidance skills as preliminary teachers.

This course is a study of Education as the subject-matter in the secondary school instruction. The purpose of the course is to design and develop a teaching-learning plan based on understanding and critical analysis of the revised 2015 curriculum. It covers issues of teaching and learning and the process of transforming subject-matter knowledge into teaching materials and instructional strategies. Students will overview theoretical principles and field practices involved in the curriculum development and instruction; create and test session and lesson plans for microteaching, simulation, as well as concept and skill acquisition by considering the characteristics of subject-matter, learners, and educational circumstances; mutually assess their teaching plan and microteaching with self-reflection papers; and become a creative and cooperative expert who can improve the implementation of integrated curriculum and resolve obstacles to student-centered instruction.

The goal of this course is to analyze the content and find the objectives and appropriate teaching methods in the subject of education. This is done following the steps of instructional design. By the end of the course, students are expected to make a lesson plan in any of the subject area.

This course, as a homeroom teacher, aims to learn the theories necessary to manage and operate classes and build practical skills based on them. Students can understand class management techniques, learn class management practices (using the NEIS system, etc.), and build an annual class management plan based on this.

This course aims to strengthen student guidance and counseling capabilities based on an understanding of youth counseling. To this end, students will learn characteristics of adolescents, youth problems, counseling processes, counseling techniques and counseling theories. This will eventually help them guide their future students well and provide effective counseling.

This course will introduce students to the field of curriculum studies. It seeks to cultivate a comprehensive understanding and a critical analysis of curriculum studies. To do this, this course introduces basic concepts and theories of curriculum studies, curriculum planning, and implementation. It also provides the student with opportunities to (1) investigate the history of curriculum studies and national curriculum reform policies; (2) explore a variety of conversations currently taking place among curriculum study scholars; (3) critically examine controversial issues related to the field of curriculum studies, such as school curriculum development and implementation, the career and occupation curriculum, creative-experiential activities, and multicultural education; (4) become creative and cooperative experts in the field of education by forming deep understanding on the nature of education and having critical perspectives on school practices.

This course focuses on the development of helping skills, which will lead to increase effectiveness as a lifelong educator. The course is designed to examine both the theoretical and practical aspects of counseling adults. Thus, this course is comprised of two part. The first part focuses on understanding of adult learning based on developmental and learning theory for adult. The second part aims to improve practical competency for helping and counseling of adult learners. Hills's helping skill model will be examined and the basic helping skills will be reviewed and practiced. Studenst can develope the learning conseling competerncy of lifelong educators.

본 강좌는 다양한 교육적 맥락에서 이루어지고 있는 교육평가의 개념을 익히고, 실제 교육현장에서 이를 적용할 수 있는 지식과 안목을 기르는 것을 목표로 한다. 이를 위하여 교육평가 분야의 최근 이슈에서부터 다양한 맥락에서 실시되고 있는 교육평가의 유형별 특징, 신뢰도와 타당도, 문항 제작 및 분석이론, 수행평가 등에 관해 학습할 것이다. 또한 본 강좌에서는 학생들이 강좌를 통하여 습득한 지식과 기술을 실제 맥락에서 적용할 수 있도록 이론과 실습을 병행하여 진행한다. 특히 학생중심평가와 과정중심평가에 초점을 두고, 평가제작 과정에 대한 이론과 실습을 집중적으로 진행할 예정이다. 그리고 교육학 전공자로서, 다양한 교육적 이슈에 대해 의견을 교환할 수 있는 토론과 글쓰기도 병행한다. 이를 통해서 학교현장이나 관련된 분야에서 교육평가의 전문가로서의 실제적 능력을 함양할 수 있다.

This course aims to learn the concept of education evaluation in various educational contexts and to develop knowledge and insights that can be applied in the actual educational field. For this, students learn various theories in the field of evaluation and measurement, including the characteristics of each type of education evaluation, reliability and validity, and item development, analytic theory, performance evaluation, etc. In addition, this course combines theory and practice so that students can apply the knowledge and skills acquired through the course in a practical context. In particular, it will focus on student-centered and process-based assessments, and will focus on theory and practice on the assessment production process. Also, as an pedagogical major, there is also discussion and writing to exchange opinions on various educational issues. Through this, it is possible to cultivate practical ability as an expert in education evaluation in the school field or related fields.

Students learn a series of processes, including the formation, execution, evaluation and feedback of educational policies. Based on this, we will develop the basic ability to discuss the goals and contents of Korean education policies, problems and issues, and future improvement plans.

The educational organization is a unit that conducts educational activities by gathering various educational subjects to achieve educational goals. Students can understand the nature of the school as an educational organization and the principal's leadership is important to the effective operation of the school. Furthermore, as a member of the educational organization, various case-oriented activities are conducted to develop their leadership.

The purpose of this course is to investigate the types of mental health problems and mental disorders that adolescents may experience, and to learn therapeutic interventions for them. In this class, students can develop their ability to intervene in adolescent mental health problems based on their understanding of diagnostic criteria, characteristics, and treatment methods of mental disorders.

This course aims to increase understanding about themselves and improve their actual human relations by acquiring of psychological knowledge related to interpersonal relationship and applying it to oneself. This course is comprised of two part. The first part focuses on understanding of interpersonal psychological knowledge and skills. The second part is designed to participate in group counseling in order to improve interpersonal abilities by applying the acquired knowledge in simulated situation. This helps students develop the social skills they need to build and maintain healthy relationships.

본 강좌에서는 교육현상을 이해하기 위한 다양한 교육조사방법들의 이론을 습득하고 실제 연구주제에 대한 조사를 수행함으로써 이를 실제적으로 적용할 수 있는 능력을 기르는 것을 목표로 한다. 이를 위하여 강의 전반부에는 다양한 교육조사방법의 이론을 학습하고, 이후 개별적인 연구주제를 바탕으로 실제 연구를 수행하는 실습을 병행한다. 실제연구에는 연구주제의 수립, 선행연구 분석, 조사도구 개발, 자료 수집, 자료 분석 및 결과 보고 등을 포함한다. 이를 통해 사회 각 분야에서 활용되고 있는 교육조사방법의 이론과 실제능력을 함양한다.

This course aims to acquire the theory of various educational research methods to understand educational phenomena and to develop the ability to apply them by conducting research on actual research topics. To this end, the first half of the lectures will learn the theory of various educational research methods, and then practice to conduct actual research based on individual research topics. Practical research includes establishing research topics, analyzing prior research, developing research tools, collecting data, analyzing data and reporting results. Through this, theories and practical skills of educational research methods used in various fields of society are cultivated.

This course is designed to provide students with a foundational understanding of various theories of career development, common methods of career assessment, and the process of career counseling? and education.? As career development is an on-going process that begins in early childhood and continues through various phases and in different forms into the latter stages of life, this course will utilize a lifespan perspective.? In the course, students will learn career counseling practice, career development theories, and history of career education and counseling. Students will be expected to apply the special knowledge to understand personal career trajectories.

In this lecture, the concept and operation status of education welfare program will be examined and the theory and practice of education welfare program evaluation will be studied. The first half of the lecture reviews the definition, necessity, and types of educational welfare programs and visits related welfare programs. In the latter part, students learn the theoretical basis for evaluating educational welfare programs and practice developing evaluation indicators for educational welfare programs.
